What Home Means to Me

What Home Means to Me Home is not just walls and a door, Or a roof that keeps out rain. It is the place where laughter lives, And hugs help ease your pain. Home is feeling safe at night, With shadows that don’t scare. It’s knowing someone listens When you talk or when you care. Home can be big or very small, An apartment, tent, or tree. It can move from place to place, As long as love comes with me. Home is sharing stories, And dreams before you sleep. It’s learning, growing, trying hard, And promises we keep. Home is where your heart feels warm, Where you’re loved for who you are. No matter where your feet may go, Home is never very far. Home is helping each other, When days feel rough or long. It’s cheering loud for small wins, And singing a happy song. Home is kindness every day, In quiet ways we show, A place that helps us be our best, And helps our spirits grow. This is what home truly means to me and you.
