What Home Means to Me

This is what home is to me. Home is safe. Home is warm. Home is your favorite smell of chocolate chip cookies. Home is sitting with your family and watching our favorite show or playing a board game together. Home is not just a place, it is where you feel loved, safe, and happy. Home is where your heart is. Home is a place where you can savor the good times and forget about the bad. Home is your sanctuary where you can be yourself. Home is your place. When you are sad, home can always manage to cheer you up. Home can be anywhere. Home does not have to be where you live, home can be your cabin or lake house. Sometimes’ you can have two homes. One with your dad, one with your mom, or you might live with someone else like your uncle and auntie or your grandma and grandpa might live with you. Some people do not have a home but that is ok if they feel safe and happy. Real homes have fights and anger but also love and happiness and, in the end, everything is ok as long as your home.
