Home is My Happy Place

Home is not just a building. Home is with my family. Home is where I make my memories and feel my feelings. My safe place is at home. Home is where I can be myself. I can read books for hours, I can lie upside down. It's where I come in for hot chocolate after playing in the snow. A warm bed where I can hide under the blankets when I'm scared. When I wake up in the morning, there's pancakes on the table. And my kitchen is filled with the smell of cooking. Home is my family. I know that so well. Home is where I'm happy, sad and mad and lots of other feelings.
