The Meaning of Home to Me

To me, home is somewhere you feel safe. Home is where you can feel all the emotions: joy, sadness, embarrassment, confusion, and happiness. Home is where your happy people are. Home is a safe place for family and friends. Home is like a warm hug as soon as you step through the door. If you are coming home from a hard day at school, home will always lift your spirits. Home is where your mom, dad, sister or brother are. When I am at home, I feel safe and warm. Home is where I smell homemade food cooking in the kitchen. Sometimes burning. When I look out the windows of my house at night, I can look at the stars and in the daytime, I can watch the sun set out my windows. Home is where my heart is. Home is not perfect. Home is where you play games with your friends and family. I am very thankful that Habitat for Humanity is helping build homes for families in need.
