Meaning of Home

Did you know that for each entry what home means to you, $10 goes to your local Habitat for Humanity? Home is not just the building you live in. To me, home means family time, friends, school and pets. Home is watching a movie with my parents, snuggled under the warm, cozy blankets. Our eyes were glued to the blaring screen as it plays different animations. I stuff my face with lays, holding hands with my parents through the scary parts. Home is playing with my dog Leo, waving his favorite scrunchy chew toy as I release it from my hands. Leo bolts to the direction I threw it, picks it up, lays it by my side and starts barking for me to throw it again. After I play with Leo, I sprint downstairs searching for my pile of stuffed animals and when I find it, I leap in and hug them. They feel as soft as snow. As I sink into the deep, soft pile, I think to myself “Ahhhh, so SOFT!” After I leap out of the pile, I ride my bike down to the local soccer field with my friends. It's great, oh it's so great to feel the crisp wind brushing against my skin as I kick the ball between my new blue and pink cleats and soon after that I blast the ball in the top right corner and we all go crazy! After we practice for a bit longer, it's time for school! As I hop out of the bus talking to my friends, we walk through the entrance of the school. I have a fun teacher and we do field trips, science, music, social studies and more but my two favorite subjects are math and gym! I hope that Habitat for Humanity can make houses for people to make lots of memories just like me and you!
