Home To Me

Home is not just 4 walls and a roof. Did you know a habitat house was built in Shelby County, Alabama in just 3 hours 26 minutes and 34 seconds! Just because someone entered. Maybe you can help someone by entering! Everytime someone enters, $10 goes towards habitat for humanity. Home for me is more than four walls and a roof. It's spending quality time with family. Home is making memories, what does home mean to you? You shouldn't have to have a big fancy house to make memories. Nobody has to have million dollar memories. Memories are spending time with the people you love. Home is also doing things you love. For me it's reading books I love. I love when I get the opportunity to chop wood for the fireplace. I love hearing the crackling fireplace while I'm cuddled up at the cabin. I love how I can see the scenes playing in my head as I read word by word. I love how I can taste all the yummy foods in my mouth that are in the book. I can always feel every move they make. I can always smell the warm crispy air coming from the warm fireplace. I love how hundreds of people are helping all these people who can’t afford nice homes. Everyone deserves to have a nice, warm place to make memories, so I am so grateful for Habitat for Humanity.
