My Home

Home, a place I go, when feeling sad or a tad bad. The place where I belong, no matter how I feel. It's filled with warmth through the love of my family, and together, we are all we need. Home is the place where I can say what’s on my mind without any fear of those judgmental eyes always staring at me. If I’m feeling down, or I have a frown, I know that when I come home I am never solo. Whether we’re playing cards or watching a show, if I'm with these people, I’m home. There’s delicious smells coming from the kitchen, and sounds of my family bonding. We all sit together, and enjoy our meal while sharing stories from our day that are noteworthy. On cold days we wrap around the fire and drink hot chocolate together in our home. At night our parents tuck us into bed and say, “goodnight” before we blast off into our dreams.
