Flavours of Home
Every home has a flavour, my flavour is red stew, Vegitable soup (Ve-gee-ta-ble soup), and some white rice. When I step into the kitchen, I smell wonderful aromas. The aromas coming from that kitchen reminds me that home is more than walls, it’s love and comfort.
I grew up in Nigeria, now I am in Canada. I’ve lived in Canada for three years, sometimes I miss my grampa and gramma, but I don’t feel lonely, around my family. Family is the key to my flavour, so a home can’t be a home unless you have your family members with you.
When I go to my room, the kitchen or the basement, I feel safe, comfort and warmth. The kitchen is where I could express my flavour or aroma by cooking. The basement is where I can stay and enjoy by being there, also from the busy day. My room is also another safe and a place to enjoy. Everyone is supposed to have a safe, comfort and warmth.
Every home has flavours and of course has your key to flavour. Always express your flavour!
