Home
To me, home isn’t just a building, it’s a place where people can be themselves. It’s where we feel safe, protected, and loved. Home is a place where we can rest and play, and where we always have food and warmth. It means that whenever I have a rough day, I know I can go home and feel loved by my family, who I know will always be there for me. I know I can tell them when I’ve had a bad day, and they will always comfort me. I know they will never judge or bully me about it because my family loves me and will support me no matter what.
Some people move from house to house, but home is where your loved ones are. It doesn’t matter if we’re in a different country or halfway across the world; it will always feel like home if I’m with my family. Home is where I make memories with my family and friends, like building snow forts in my backyard with my friends or playing Uno with my family.
All kinds of things make a good home. Some of these things are warmth, food, water, shelter from the weather, and electricity. Home is important because it’s a safe place. My home is unique because my great-grandpa lived in it, and then it was passed down to my dad and hopefully, someday, to me.
That’s what home means to me. I hope you can go home and be loved by your family, too.
