Home
Home is where you live, home is where you sleep, where you go after a rough day (Or almost any day!). But, it’s not just that, it’s SO much more. Home is with your family, maybe even with your friends. It’s where you’re from, and where you live, even if those are different places. It’s hard to describe because everyone thinks of it slightly differently. The dictionary says it’s a noun and if you asked me before I would have probably said the same but it’s more a concept. What I mean is, a noun is a person, place, or thing. “Home” would fall into those categories as a “thing” and, a concept is a thing that you can’t touch or hold. For example a feeling. But, in reality, thinking about it, someone could call their country home, and the same person can call a house home. People sometimes say something like this is my home away from home. Which basically means they’re there so much or, they like being there so much, or even both, that it feels like home. If someone moves (as in change between houses) and they’re unhappy they might say “I want to go home.” Then someone else might say “This IS home.” and they aren’t wrong but, neither is the other person, because to them it isn’t, or at least not yet. A lot of people think a house is the same as a home, but, it isn’t, a house is the building, and while that is part of a home, it’s the noun part, but, home would be the concept part. Home, or your home away from home is the place you laugh, cry, play, and live a lot of your life. So try to make it an amazing place!
