What Home Means to Me
My home is more than just a building where I live, it is a place where my family is. It might just look like a regular house on a quiet street but to me it is so much more. My home is like a shield that protects me. My home is a hug that makes me happy. To me, my home is a place that makes me feel safe, happy, and like I belong.
First, my parents make me feel safe. I feel safe in my house when my parents lock the doors when we come in and out of the house. I feel safe around my family because I know who they are. My mom likes to plan my birthday cakes with me. I love my family because they care for me like they make sure I'm okay when I get hurt.
Second, my family makes me feel like I belong. I feel like I belong because my family knows what I like, for example, stuffies and what I dislike, for example, peanuts. My family makes me feel like I belong because they make space for who I am. I love my family because they love me and are kind to me. I feel like I belong around my parents.
To conclude, my family is very important to me. I know my family and they know me. They make me feel safe and like I belong. I love my family because they make me happy. No matter where I go or what I do my family will always support me. My family is home to me.
