Home Can Be Anywhere

January 13, 2026- January 23, 2026. By Zimal Ahmar. Home is my comfort place, but home doesn’t have to be a house; home can be anywhere that makes you feel safe, protected and happy. Home could be your school, the park, the forest or any natural place and even that one bench at the bus stop. Home could be a place for you only, or it could be a community for you, your friends and your family to feel comfortable. Home is a special place where I have all the needs of the world. Food, water, shelter and oxygen. I am grateful that I have a loving family that takes care of me and loves me just as much as I love them. If you ever think about that one toy that everyone at school has but your parents won’t let you have it, forget about that one thing because your parents already spend so much of their time and money to take care of you so you should be grateful for the fact that you even have a bed to sleep on at night because some people in the world don’t even have that! At home, I can smell and taste the delicious food that my mom cooks. I can hear the voices of my family members talking. I can touch and feel all the items that I’ve been gifted on my birthdays and more, and finally, I can see the wonderful and joyful community of my home. At home, I feel like I belong. Home is a place where I live with my sisters, my parents and even my pet bunny. My sisters always play with me and hang out with me. They take care of me and love me as much as I love them. My parents are my caretakers. Without them, I’d be nothing. They are the most important people in my life. My bunny is like my little brother. He is everything to me, and I would do anything and everything to protect me. If I’m feeling down and I don’t want to talk to someone who will reply because I know that they will not agree with me, I go to him and tell him about my problems. He makes me feel better. I like talking to someone who doesn’t talk back and just listens and agrees.
