Home

When I was small, I woke up one day to find a note from my mom saying that she had gone to Canada. I thought that it was just another business trip. But a month later, she called my sister and me on my dad's phone, and she told us that she decided to stay there and try to bring me and my sister to Canada.I didn't really go to Canada, but if I got to see my mom,I would do it.,A year after, my dad took me to the airport to go on a plane to Canada. There was pretty landscape under me, which just make me more curious about Canada. When I arrived in Canada, the first thing I noticed was that Canada was pretty cold. That the first time I saw pigeons, squirrels, and I even got one foot near the squirrel before it ran up to a tree.then I arrived to my new home. The new home was bigger than my first one.I felt weird. A home for me is a place where I feel safe. A living room full of games, a nice warm couch full of memories. A big tv that has all sorts of movies. A carpet where I crochet my first scarf. A dining table full of good traditional cuisines.Three cups on the table that always has milk in during dinner time. A bright light near my study desk. When I feel stressed, I would sit down on the floor and crochet for a while, until I feel ready to start again. In the kitchen, that is where my family prepares our food. My sister likes to cook food that Canadians eat, but me and my mom prefer cooking Vietnamese cuisines better. Inside the kitchen, is where I take my lunch into backpack to go to school. During winter, after I go out to play in the snow, when I come in would smell the wonderful smell of hot cocoa. My bedroom has everything I will ever need. On my bed, I have a neatly stacked pile of books, and a fluffy pillow to sleep on. Down on the carpet, I have a keyboard that I can practice on it anytime I want to. Right beside the door, I have my study desk, I mostly go there to do my homework. Finally,I have my lego bin, that is where I do most of my creativity. My bedroom is my favourite place of my home. But, if my family isn't there, home would be nothing but a house. The home isn't just the place I live, it's the people you live with, and how you feel about your home. Thank you to Habitat for humanity for supporting the people that isn't as fortunate as my family to have a home. Im very grateful for the opportunity to support the people that need a home. Thank you for reading my work and have a nice day.
