A Home isn’t Always a House

What does home mean to you? Most people would say “a house” or “where I live,” but a home isn’t always a house. A home can be a place, thought, feeling, and more. To me home can be a lot of things, like going to the lake and going fishing on the boat, having a game or movie night that’s filled with laughter and fun, driving to Dairy Queen at 10 at night, going to a special pace or having a vacation, or even just having a sleepover with your best friend. Now, these things may not have anything to do with houses, but these things are my home. A house isn’t aways a home, a home is memories with your family, friends, and things or people you are connected to. A house may be safe and tall, but a home makes you feel safe and is more than just a building.
