Habitat for Humanity Essay Contest - Writing about Home Written By: Nixon Kennedy Habitat for Humanity is a group of people that builds homes for the poor and the unfortunate. The recipients of the homes pay what they can. This helps people turn a house into a home they always wanted. My sister and I have two homes because our parents are divorced. My mom gives me freedom like my sister, and my Nana is a very nice lady. Our house has a variety of toys, like Beyblades and Dinosaurs, Spinosaurus or books like Dog man.I am lucky to have two computers. I have a computer that I can play my very own games on in my room at my Mom's house, and a computer beside my Dad's at his house. Gaming with them is my favourite at home activity but I have a lot of rules and restrictions for screen time. That is keeping me safe but I wish I had more time. Deer usually walk by Mom's house and I really like seeing how many have antlers. We leave apples, carrots and cucumber and even a watermelon out for them. Our neighbourhood is peaceful and fun. My Dad lives in Southridge by all the stores. We have a lot of good roads to ride our bikes on. Being at home makes me happy. It's habitable and nice and safe. The Habitat for Humanity is just a nice group of people who wants everyone to be happy and have family, also their own space of the house that people can safely call home. Home is where heart is.
