Habitat for Humanity Essay Contest - Writing about Home Written By: Minhal Azhar ★ Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization who help people who are living in poor conditions or do not have a home at all. They build houses for families in need. They are made by volunteers or sometimes future house owners who are regular people, just like you and me. Their mission is to give people a home to live in no matter how much money they have. Over time, the people living in the house have to pay back the cost of the house, but the fees are manageable. Habitat for Humanity has accomplished great achievements and continue to thrive and help those people in need. In this essay I will be talking about why my home is important to me. Home is a very special place where people feel comfortable and safe. The first reason why home is important to me is because it provides me with a sense of security and protects me from bad weather and other disturbances. If I did not have a home I would probably perish. The second reason is that I have parents who provide me with almost everything like food, devices, wifi, pets, toys, and etc. Having good parents who care for you and understand you well is truly a blessing. The third reason is because my home holds many memories, especially good ones. I have been living in my house for a very long time, and I will never forget all the things that happened over the years. The fourth reason is because I can be myself without any judgement whatsoever, I can have fun, do my hobbies, and etc. In conclusion, my home is a place where I feel safe and enjoy and we should always be grateful for our homes. Habitat for Humanity has helped millions of people have a safe place where they can thrive. Habitat for Humanity is truly an amazing organization.
