Home is Comfort

Instead of just a house, a home is a place where I can rest and feel safe. When I’m at home, my mood changes to relief from when I’m at school. When I come home from school, I feel happy because I can see my family. The three things that make me feel happy in my home are my family, bedroom and pets. Why is having a home so important to me? It is important to have a place where you feel comfortable and wanted because my family cares for me. My family provides for me by making meals, giving shelter and making me happy and feeling loved. The one room I spend the most time in is my bedroom because it’s nice and has everything I need like a computer, a soft bed and water bottle. One thing I can do at home that I can’t do anywhere else is recharge when I am tired by resting quietly in my room. It’s important to have a home if you want pets. Pets need food, a yard to play in and a safe place to live. You can’t have pets if you don’t have a home. Pets make me happy because they are part of the family. My dogs are friendly and like to pet them. Everybody should have a pet because they just love you. When I am old and think back about my home, the things I’ll remember most about having a home is the feeling of happiness when thinking about my family, pets and safety. If home was a feeling instead of a place, it would feel like safety. I am grateful for my home because I have a roof over my head and I think every kid deserves a roof over their heads. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building homes and safety for families!
