WHAT HOME MEANS TO ME

Everyone has a home, whether it be a mansion, or a small apartment. It doesn’t even need to be a house, it could be a place where you are happy. There’s always a place to stay, to eat, to sleep, to love. Many components to a home. It’s different for everyone, but all homes have a few things in common. So I’ll tell you what home means to me and how it makes me feel. To start, many emotions emerge when I think of my home in the present, and my homes in the past. I feel love, care and I feel like I matter, because of my parents, my brother, and how they show affection in the toughest times. I feel safe, protected, and looked after, because every home has a shield that can’t be bought with any sort of currency, and cannot be penetrated in any sort of way. I feel relaxed, thankful, and well kept, because I know that some people don’t have what I have, and that my family’s love will protect me. Moving on, my home will always be where my heart is, and I will explain what this means to me. A home is a house with a heart. By heart I mean, everyone you care for, and love. By heart, I mean, people who will give their life to save yours. By heart, I mean anyone, even a pet, who makes you happy, even in the darkest times By heart, I mean all the feelings that go through your head, when you think of home. You can’t have a home, without a heart. To me, home means my family, not just the place where I live. It’s like me and my family, being a hermit crab, and the shell is our home. I think I speak for everyone, when I say I thank habitat of humanity, for giving people houses to live in, and homes to stay in their hearts forever.
