What home means to me

Home to me isn't just a building. It is a feeling. It is a space I can call my own. A place where I feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Home has the sound of a beautiful piano being played, and laughter echoing through the halls. Home has the scent of decadent treats being baked each day. Home has movie nights after long weeks of school. Home has my dog, running to me when I come back from school, and snuggling with me when I feel down. Home is the place where I feel like I belong. Home has memories. Good ones, and bad ones too. Memories of celebrations and family dinners. Memories of snuggling together on sad, gloomy days, mourning the loss of pets we loved dear. But those memories are the meaning of home: Supporting each other through tough times, and happy ones too. Those are the memories that make my home special. I love home because I know there will always be someone who will support me and want me there. That is what home means to me.
