What is Home?

What is home to you? Does everyone feel the same? Maybe home’s a place. Maybe it’s a name. Could home be a building? But what if yours is falling down? What if you have never had one? What if it’s filled with frowns? What if home’s a feeling? But what feeling would that be? Joy, love, contentment Safety or empathy? Maybe home’s a person, Or people you adore. But then what if they pass away? Or if they close the door? It could be a safe place. But do you have to pick just one? What if you just can’t choose? What if you have a ton? Just how big is a home? The size of a town? A building? A country? Is it a proper noun? Is home where you get what you want? Is home where you get what you need? Is home where you don’t need to worry? Could home be a good spot to read? Is it soft, like dog ears Or a big purple quilt? Is it full of house plants? How is it built? Whatever home is, One thing is true: Everyone deserves to have one. I know I do.
