Without a Home

Without a home I wouldn’t be with the people I love and care about, with friends I can trust and that will support me. Without my wonderful home I wouldn’t feel loved, safe, special, and valued. Home is important to me because I can spend time with people, share memories, and cherish special moments. With a home I can feel free to talk to anyone if I need help, feel whatever emotions I need to feel and don’t need to worry about fitting in. Without my school I wouldn’t have a place to make mistakes and improve. Without the teachers, coaches, and friends’ parents who helped me along the way, I wouldn't have made as much progress as I have now. Home is a place where I can do the things I love, like drawing, playing board games, and singing songs loudly with my mom. Home is a place to sometimes have fights but feel forgiveness afterwards. It’s a place to discuss thoughts, ideas, and dreams. Home is a place to cuddle up and watch movies with my parents while sheltered from a storm. It’s a place to lay by a warm fire with family while camping under the starry sky. Home is just a special place to feel happy and treasured, and is somewhere I know I can always try again. When I’m home I feel like I belong.
