What Home Means to Me

Home isn't just a place, it's where you belong. It's where the laughter starts and finishes. My dad also tells the best jokes. My mom has really cool flowers and makes really good hot chocolate when we come in from outside. Every new day in my life is another page of a story book. Every special picture frame has a memory of a birthday vacation or some fun thing we did as a family. My mom's hugs give me encouragement in my sports. She tells me I can do anything that comes to mind. Me and my brother would ask my dad can you play hockey with us. We always do family games and art challenges or something fun before going to bed. After all the games, we usually read the book that I'm into whether it's The Land of Stories, Harry Potter, Ice Chips or whatever. I always read sports or just a book that looks good. Whether it's helping with School Work playing games or it's just sitting there. We talk about our days. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it's bad, sometimes it's awesome. Our living room is like a Clubhouse. The delicious food my parents make. The smell we breathe in and out, you can't get a bad meal, they're too good. You will be together. Those moments are those people that I will always carry with me no matter where I go. Home is where my family is and that's what makes me special. Home isn't about the size or how beautiful the furniture is. Oh, my home is everything I need in my life. I don't need anything else. It's the people in my life that mean so much to me. Home is family because it is where you spend quality time with your family all together.
