The True Meaning of Home

The true meaning of home to me is not just a house made of wood and bricks, but it is the place where you feel loved and protected. A house will be a cold and dry place with no life or joy until you are with your family and you fill it with love and happiness. That’s when it becomes a home. Home is a place where you feel safe and comfortable. A home is where the people surrounding you love and care about you. At home you can feel like you’re wrapped in a warm hug. You can feel like you’re covered in a blanket that keeps you safe from everything, and anything that would ever hurt you. A home will never fail to make you feel better. A home is a place to feel carefree and joyful, not to make you feel like you have to hide who you truly are. A home does not have to be just one single designated place. It can be anywhere you feel safe, and cared for. When you feel loved, cared for and comfortable, then you know that you are truly at home. A home is so very special because some people do not have a home so, to have a home is one of the most special things you could ever have.
