Meaning of Home

Home is more than a living space, it's where you spend your life. It's where memories and happiness came from, and the joy of coming home after a long stressful day and getting to hug your mom and dad and relax. When I'm at home I feel safe, calm, cozy, loved, and comfortable. To me, home means safety for me. At school sometimes I'm bullied because I like stuff other people don't like, but when I'm at home I can use my whole imagination and express my feelings. I can play with my little sister and pretend we are on an island when really it's just our beds, or we can pretend we are having a battle on water when really it's just pillow fighting with a blanket. You can use your whole imagination at home because it's your safe space. Some memories I have kept away in my head are, getting to meet my little sister for the first time, and getting to meet my new dog for the first time. I treasure these moments because they remind me of home. Home is the place you learned to walk and talk and feel free! Home is where you had your first meal, your first time using the potty, and where you got your first toy. Family also makes home special. Them helping with hard work, with special events, and the people to talk to when you're feeling sad or feeling frustrated. Everyone deserves to have a happy home and life so they will have a good future!
