What Home Means to Me

Home may be where we sleep, eat, and rest, but truly, it’s so much more. I am from a purple and grey townhouse, where laughter fills the air, and people are always moving, playing, working and together living their lives. I am from the sound of my family, all lost in their own activities, and from the sweet aroma of my mom’s magnificent signature dishes. I am from the moment I tore open the red wrapping paper, My heart, beating fast as I found exactly what I had hoped for, in the corner beside our glowing Christmas tree. I am from my hands gripping the controller, Joyfully battling side-by-side with my brother, and from the voices that suddenly call out, “DO THE DISHES!” “TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE!” Home is not just a place on earth, but a feeling made of memories, unforgettable voices, and warmth. Home will always mean everything to me.
