HOME

A home isn't just about 4 walls, rooms or a roof. Home is about the people who are my family. At home, I feel calm, loved, and understood. When I think of home I think of the delicious smell of the apple pie that my mom occasionally bakes. Home is where me and my family spend the evening watching movies altogether. Then we all gather together to talk about our day. Home also means comfort to me, my soft bed and little reading corner, and the familiar feeling when I walk through the door. But home is not just about comfort, it's also the place where I learn my strengths and my weaknesses, and sometimes make mistakes. At home I also learn discipline. For example, when I come home from school I just want to sit on my couch and watch TV, but my family encourages me to go to my dancing practices, even if I do not want to. My mom drives me there and reminds me why it is important. And after my practice I feel that I used my time usefully, instead of sitting on the couch and watching T.V. At home I learn to become a better person. My home also teaches me a lot of things like my dad teaches me how to swim, my mom teaches me how to sew, and sometimes we knit together. Home is the place that holds all your memories. To me my home is very important because home is the place where you can be with your family. My home is very important to me. It is not only because of the walls, rooms or a roof, home is special because of my family. So no matter which home you go to as long as you have your family, it will always be your home.
