WHAT HOME MEANS TO ME

I used to think that home was only a place. I still remember when I said bye to my family. It was the worst day ever. I used to want to stay, but I knew that coming was the right thing. I also had to be a strong and good sister. Also, as soon as I got to Canada, I pretended to be happy because I know how much money my parents spent travelling here so I didn’t want to be ungrateful. Now I know that a home is not just a place is where you and your family are. Every morning when I wake up, I think of the day I left Colombia. Every day I know that coming to Canada was the right decision. Also, my dad and mom try to cook all the food that I miss from Colombia. So, when I feel sad eating Colombia food it was always reminds me about all the happy moments that me and my family went through. And when I think of all those people that don’t have a home, it makes me want to help others. Thank you to the Meaning of home to send money to help others.
