What home means to me!

Home to me is a safe place to be yourself. Home is where my mom, dad, brother, myself, and my dog. We all have feelings and some of my feelings are sad because I don’t see my dad all the time, and some are happy because I have a home and food to eat, and clean water to drink. Some are loved and I am loved because I have a family and I have support when I need it. Some people have a safe place or a favorite place and my places and spaces are my room because I like to spend some time in there and I can reset myself, and my basement because its a big space I can play with my dog and take out my energy down in the basement, and when my mom takes me to see my cow. The things that make my home a home is my dog and the smell and my family. I think the best smells in my house is my moms cooking for sure, my favorite thing that my mom cooks is probably French toast. My favorite tradition is game night every Sunday night, or watching a movie, and the sound of my dog barking at her reflection on the window when we are in the living room. My favorite thing to do in the winter is go to my papa’s big sledding hill with my dad and then have hot chocolate and I get to spend time with my papa. My favorite thing to do in summer is play in my pool and roast marshmallows with my brother and dad. Home is really special to me because everyone is welcome and you don’t have to be scared to be yourself, and you don’t have to bottle up anything.
