Home

Home is home. A house, an apartment, a tent, and lots of other stuff. It's what makes you happy. My home is a cozy house. When I walk in the door I smell my mom baking apple crisp, and my dad cheering on the blue jays, “GO BLUE JAYS” he goes. My home is me doing basketball drills in the driveway and my parents rebounding for me, and cheering me on. The special nights at my house are watching the New York Knicks and popcorn popping in the microwave. It's also the sound of our record player playing old fashioned music during supper. And don’t forget the softball nights in the backyard ‘bang” the softball went off my bat ‘home run” I say as it goes over the bushes. It's when I get home from basketball practice and get into my pjs and proceed to lay with my mom and eat some cold creamy ice cream watching tv. A home isn't just shelter it’s a lifestyle. Everyone's home is different from their own perspective. It could sound like their washing machine beeping to tell you it's ready or the smell of their moms homemade butter chicken, it’s your home in your own way. Here is an example of maybe someone's perspective of their home: Today when I walked in my house from volleyball practice I smelled my mom cooking her creamy delicious lasagna. As I ate it at the table I could feel my dog Milo scurrying around my feet, looking for some crumbs of lasagna. After dinner I had a shower. While I was in the shower I heard my brother downstairs listening to a show but it was blurred out with the noise of the water hitting the floor and the soapy foam by my ears, but I still yelled down to him “turn it down John” “ok” he replies. After my shower I cozied up in my bed. As I was almost asleep my little brother John claimed he saw weird shadows and got scared so scurried into my room. “I’m scared sissy” he said, “fine get in here she said”. And then we slowly falled asleep. And that's the example but it's all in one paragraph. Home isn't just a structure, it's a structure with the stuff/people that are in it. It doesn't matter what's on the outside, it matters what's inside. Home is everything for me. It’s a place to sit by the cozy fireplace, and with the fun board games to play with family and friends. And that's what home is to me, a lovely cozy fun home, with the stuff inside that matters.
