More Than Just a Building-What home mean To Me

HOME isn't just a building, a house, or a place of security. There is love; it’s where your family wraps their arms around you and says: “Everything is all right. Your home, your safe. And we love you.” Of course, sometimes there are disagreements, tears, and anger, but in the end there is apologizing, warm comforting hugs, and forgiveness. Home can also apply to your backyard. Cooking delicious, outstanding BBQ while music is playing on hot summer days; laughs so big your stomach hurts; sitting under the shade of backyard trees, cooling you off while eating freezes; chasing the soccer ball going down the steep hill, hoping it will be stopped by the help of your father, laughing with tiredness in his voice but at the same time relieved. Talking about things with your friends at school that we don't want parents to know about; the outrage of flies getting near your food when the window is opened; the fire blazing in the fireplace while drinking hot chocolate; the feeling of being miserable, smelling the damp rain while it’s raining cats and dogs. Looking at the pictures on the wall of past experiences, some not so good and some of the best things that happened in the little world of mine. So, like I said, home isn't just a building, an apartment, or a room in a house. It’s where we make mistakes, or water the plants! It's where your family blooms, flourishes, and grows.
