Home Is Home
A home is not cement and bricks. To some people home is books and stories. A home to others is a place where they can cry without being judged. A home is not a setting or a building, a home is somewhere to look forward to being. A home to some might be a building, but to others it may be a place where they go to be happy, hopeful, loved, and kind.
A home to some is cats cuddling, birds chirping, and kids playing. No matter what people say your home is yours and no one can take it from you.
You may move to a different house, but you will always have a home. There are so many possibilities in a home, a home can have paintings, art work and photos. Home to me is a place where I took my first steps with my family beside me. You may have many losses but you will always have a win. You may have bad days but you will always have a home.
Just know that some people may not like you, but you have ten times more people that love you than that. Home to me means having family and friends surrounding me. Home is comfy blankets surrounding me while reading all the books I can. Home is a place where I take the weight off my shoulders. Home to me is coming back after a long day and thinking Grandpa Paparoo will be there to comfort me. Home to me is crying when I realize he's gone. Some people will pass on and you will mourn them. You will always remember them. Home to me are my three cats meowing, my dog barking, my bird chirping to the song, and of course, my siblings arguing. Home is me hugging the photos of all of us together, one big happy family. A good time at home for me is when my sister comes home from work. Home is a place I belong and deserve to be.
HOME IS HOME.
