The Meaning of Home

To me a home feels to be yourself and feel comfort, love and safety but a house is just brick and furniture with no one living there. In a home you can share stories and tell secrets with your siblings. A home is a place where you're allowed to be fully yourself without fear of judgment. A home is a smell where you can feel nostalgia where the scent brings back your childhood memories or the smell of your favorite food of when you were a kid. A home is a feeling when you are sad and your mom is warmly hugging you as you feel better. A home is when you come home and hear your family laughing with joy and happiness and welcoming you as you are coming up the stairs.
