Meaning of Home
Home means a lot of things to me, like when I go inside my home I smell delicious food and happy family members. It is a warm cozy place where I can sleep. Home is not just for food, water and shelter, it is about being with your family and showing kindness all around you.
I love my home because it protects me from snow, rain and heavy wind. In my living room, it is a fun place where I play with my siblings, watch TV, play games and other fun things. In the kitchen we cook, bake and learn new things. I like all the things that my mother makes. When we eat, we make jokes and talk. We have pictures on the wall. It is our memories from when we were so little.
When I wake up in the morning, I feed our pet fish, when I come back from school I feed them, and when it is bedtime I feed them again. They love it when I feed them and when I give them the food, they eat the food so fast. They love their tank, they swim around so fast and have fun. When I get back from school and when I have an exhausting day, I just go to my room and relax on my bed.
For many people home is nothing. Seeing people without homes makes me feel sad. Homelessness is a loss of food, safety, water and shelter. I understand that home is more than shelter, it is about being who you are. So home is not having a house, it is about being with your family, and every day it is a better day. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for making homes. Everyone deserves a home with love and to be loved in.
