A Special Place Called Home

Home is a very important place. From all the space to play sports and games to my parents and brother’s love. Home is a wonderful place. My pets are also a very important part of home. My home isn’t just walls and a roof, it is a lot more. Another special part of my home is my room, with pictures of winning hockey tournaments and a nice soft bed to sleep in. My pets are a big part of my home. I have a dog and two cats. When I come home from school my dog is always excited to see me and when I get up in the morning, I always sit with my cats and watch TV. I have made many great memories with my pets, such as playing in the snow with my dog and snuggling her. If you don’t have a home it would be hard to keep pets. I have a nice big property. I love sports and I can play all my favourite sports in my yard. I play hockey on a frozen rink and baseball in my field. If you live in the city, you would have to go to parks if you don’t have a big enough back yard to play sports. In the summer, we have campfires in our yard. I have so many memories on our property, like playing in the snow on a winter day when my dad pulls us on a sled behind his four-wheeler or when my friends come over in the summer to play. If you do not have a home, it is difficult to do these fun things. My room is another big part of my home. I sleep, play, rest and read in my room. It is very special to have your own room. Everybody needs a room for privacy. I keep all of my favourite things in my room like memorable pictures, hockey sticks and trophies. My room is a safe space. If you don’t have a home you would not have a room. It is amazing coming into a wonderful place to eat, sleep and live in a safe, warm and loving place like home.
