Home

A home doesn't have to be your actual house. Home could be your happy place, your safe space, a place where you can escape from the harsh reality of the world. To me home is a place that I feel safe in, where I am surrounded by friends, family, and pets, where I have no worries in sight. Where I feel relaxed, and welcome. Where there's only good vibes all around the room. Like most others I like the feeling of being safe. Where I know there won't be any harm where I feel welcome. When there is nothing that will hurt me, I have a safe space. I feel safe in what I call home. I feel warm and cozy inside where everyone respects each other's boundaries. Where there's peace. The most important things in my life are my friends, family, and my pets. Nothing beats the feeling when you watch a movie with your friends or family or make them laugh when you tell a funny joke. Or when you had a rough day so you go and snuggle up with your pets. Your family and friends always comfort you so you always have someone to turn to. You know they won't ever betray you. In the summer we jump off the dock , seeing who can hold their breath or do a hand stand in the water the longest. When there's no worries or stress I feel relaxed, happy, a feeling that everything's right in my world. Everyone is having a good time. It's going perfect. Where I could be myself. Where I can express myself. Where I don't hide in a shell. The only thing that is on our minds is when we are getting our ice cream and poutine as we sit on the benches outside of the ice cream shop. Home isn't always four walls and a roof. Home is where you're happy, safe, where you have no worries, where your friends, family, and pets are. Where you can find people who love you the way you are. Where there's no rules against being yourself. Where no one judges you for being you. And that's what home means to me.
