Home in Five Senses

If home was a view it would be a red sky at night on the ocean, occasionally a red sky in the morning. Red sky at night sailors delight, red sky in the morning sailors take warning. If I could hear home it would be the popcorn popping as my mom bobbed and weaved to try not to get hit by a flying kernel. Home as a smell would be the smell of freshly baked extravagant blueberry pie, straight out of my dreams. The taste of home if home had a taste would be squishy chewy nerd gummy clusters, the perfect mix between sweet and sour as positive and negative. If home I could feel, it would be the firm strong bricks keeping me safe, warm and dry, allowing me to survive. Everyone deserves to have a roof over their head. But not everyone gets it, which is why I thank habitats for humanity, thank you for helping people find a home even if they have nothing. Thank you for helping all those people who struggled. Thank you for helping those who lost everything or never had anything, get a fresh start. Thank you habitats for humanity.
