The true Meaning of Home

Sometimes I wonder If I really know The fortune and luck To have my own dinner The food that we sow And the corn that we shuck I don’t think would happen Without a true home Home is the love That we teach and share Home is the memories Hung ‘side my lair Home is the food That I love so much Home is the smells Wafting from lunch Sometimes when I’m sad And snuggled in bed I’ll think to myself: “You know this place isn’t bad,” A house is a house But a home is different A home is living, breathing If you find settlement Habitat for humanity We all thank you For the shelter you provide And safety you magnify I think all should have a safe place to live And forever somewhere to hide
