What Home Means

Home is a place where you live. It's a place where you have loved ones and it is where I belong. Home isn't just a building. It's a feeling. A feeling that has emotions mixed with happiness, anger, sadness, fear, and more. Home is a place to make memories. And I have a photo of me, my father, and my mother at a place called Snow World in Pune, India. Sometimes my friends come over to my house for a playday. I sometimes do crafts when it's boring. And sometimes I like to make noodles for myself. Home is also a place to relax and sleep . At home there is food to eat. There are books to read. Home is a place where I do many things. And at night I sleep in my bed. Home is a safe place for me, and it’s a place that not everyone has. In my home there is a couch, a dining table, a bed, and lots of other things. In most homes there are rooms like bedrooms, a kitchen, bathrooms, and a living room. We use the rooms and furniture, but home isn’t all about rooms and furniture. It is about family, friends, animals, and all the people in your life. That's what makes a place feel like home. Some people don’t have a family or a home because something bad happened in their past. This makes me grateful for what I have. By submitting this entry, I am going to help many people through Habitat for Humanity.
