What Home Means to Me

Home can mean something different to everyone. Home isn't just a place you live or a meaning in a dictionary. It's about what home means to you. For me home is where I can be myself and where I feel loved. Home can be a feeling or a place you feel happy. Home can be a place you live with the ones you love a place you feel protected or trusted or all of the above. Home is where you create memories and share laughter even if the place is a disaster. Your home may be a house and your house may be a home but home is a place I never feel alone. Home doesn't have to just be a place you live but about the love that you are willing to give. A house has 4 walls, a roof and a bed but a home is a magical place in my head. A home is a place for love and care with laughter floating in the air. A home is more than wood, brick or stone but its where my heart feels most at home. Home is the smell of soup on a chilly day where all of your worries just melt away. With your family, friends or a loyal pet it’s the greatest comfort you can get. A house isn't just a home because it’s a place you feel free to roam. A house is a building, a shelter a place but home is where I'm welcomed with a warm embrace. Home is a special place to me, a place I feel free and I hope you agree.
