My Own Perspective of Home

Sometimes people think a house and a home are the same thing, but there is a very deep difference between each other. A house is just a building where you can find walls, windows, a roof, and perhaps a yard. It’s the place where you sleep, eat, and keep your things. But a home is something much bigger and more special, is made of feelings, not bricks. A home exists when you feel safe, loved and understood. It can happen during a family movie night when everyone shares popcorn and laughs or when you mother hugs you after a hard day, or when your dad plays with you even if he is tired, or when your pet sits next to you and looks at you like you are their favourite person in the entire world. People always say a cliché phrase “Home sweet home” or think a big house will make them happy but is something much simple. You can feel at home even If you are far away from your country, or if you moved to a new place, or if you living is a small apartment. Some people don’t have a house at all, but they still have a home inside them because they have love, memories and people who really care. And sometimes, a home can be just you, when you believe in your dreams and keep good feelings in your heart. We need to understand that house is for living but home is for love.
