What Home Means To Me
What is home for me? Home is a cozy blanket where I sit, sleep, eat, and drink. When I come home from school, my mom greets and hugs me. At dinner time, she cooks such delicious food that my family can smell it from their rooms. I look forward to these dinners because I feel most connected to my family. But it’s not just the place that makes it feel like home—it’s the people in it. My mom helps me with homework, and my dad and I play tennis in the yard. Those games may be small, but they are moments I’ll always remember. It’s the sense of comfort, the familiar sounds, and the people who share it with me. It’s where we all support each other, whether it’s helping with school work, playing games, or just sitting together and talking about our day.
That’s why I’m glad my school is supporting Habitat for Humanity. Everyone deserves a place of their own, where they feel cared for. Home isn’t about the size or how beautiful the furniture is. It’s about the people in it and the memories you make together. Home is where my family is, and that’s what makes it special.
