Home is My Greatest Gift

Home is a place where my family and I can feel safe, and relax to prepare ourselves for another big day of school and work. When I leave to go to a sleepover or a vacation that feels exciting and like something to look forward to at first but once I lose my homes reach it feels like I haven’t felt it’s tight hugs for decades. I remember those unforgettable memories of my family and I at the dinner table telling stories of all our amazing adventures and accomplishments throughout the week. Our bedrooms are where we can snuggle up under the cozy blanket with my mom and dad and read an interesting book as the rain taps against the windows drop by drop. The dinner table is where stories are shared and the greatest memories are made along with the delicious tastes and spectacular smells. The basement is where I can play with my friends and go nuts because unlike the living room or dinner table it doesn’t need to be perfectly tidy. The basement is where we can play video games, board games or card games as the minutes slowly tick by on the clock. I am super grateful for my backyard. It holds the most important and special activities and attractions like my secret tree house, water guns and our very healthy growing garden. The living room is where my family and I can watch shows on our television and enjoy a bag of popcorn and a glass of hot chocolate. All of these rooms in my house mean something different and unique to us and when all these rooms come together that is what makes my home the greatest gift ever.
