What Does Home Mean To Me?
To me, home is a place where I can feel safe because my parents are there to protect me. Home is a place where I know that I can try stuff and I won't be judged harshly. When I fail at home I get encouraged by my parents. For example, I tried solving the megaminx but I couldn't get the last layer but instead of criticizing me my parents encouraged me to keep trying and I eventually solved it.
It is a place where I can have warm toasty meals like salmon, which is by far my favorite food because of the way that my mom makes it. Home is my favorite place because when I’m in a hotel, I think “this isn’t home”. I think this because even if it has all the things that my house has on the outside it won’t feel like home due to all the things that we feel on the inside. Some of the things that we feel on the inside are warmth, comfort, inclusiveness, and safety. I never want to leave home because I have Stories, which is when my dad and I become the main characters in our make-believe adventures. We can be a villain and a good guy. Together we have a lot of fun making stories.
I have so much fun that on the weekends I prefer to stay at home. In conclusion, Home is a place where I feel safe, am not judged, where I have all the things that I need and love and where I can have lots of fun.
