THE MELODY CALLED HOME
Home is a very special place for me. It’s like a hug on cold windy days. When I think of home I imagine a cozy space filled with love, laughter, and wonderful memories. It’s not just the building we live in, it’s the people and memories that make it special.
To me home is like a melody, where each note represents something important. It could be the delicious food my mom cooks. The aroma of her cooking makes me hungry. Those meals bring us joy. When eating we share what we did in our day.
Another important note could be the laughter in my house. When we play we can sometimes argue about who won but it’s still fun. The laughter fills our house with joy. It reminds me that we will always be there for each other. This bond is stronger than ever.
When I picture home I also see it as a shield. It’s like I'm Captain America and the shield is my house. When I come home I know that I am safe and secure with my family. That sense of security allows me to be myself and be free.
Home is something that holds our memories. It’s like the frames on walls. It holds the pictures and memories that we have. Even if the memories are on a phone home is still the frame that holds the phone.
In conclusion, home is much more than just a place to live. It is a melody of wonderful experiences, filled with love, laughter, and protection. It is where I feel safe and happy, surrounded by my family. Home is a treasure in my heart that I will always cherish, and no matter where I go in the future, the memories of my home will travel with me.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for defining the meaning of home to students like me, gradually making the world better.
