Meaning of home
Home is more than a house to me. It is a place filled with love, caring, and support that helps me feel safe and calm. When I walk in the door, it feels like the world is quieter, and I will not be judged.
Sometimes my brain goes super fast, and it is hard for me to stay focused. I can start something and then zoom out, or I can feel frustrated when my thoughts are jumping around. At home, my parents support me with great patience and gentle reminders. They help me break big tasks into small steps and assure me to relax. If I get distracted, they advise me to take a quick break, walk away, drink water and try again.
Home is where I can be my true self. I can ask a lot of questions, share my big ideas, and comfortably show what I can do. My family helps me build my routines that guide me, like sitting down for homework, or taking a deep breath at stressful moments instead of complaining. These little routines feel like warm hands holding me and helping me to slow down.
When I think about the real world, it can be a harsh place for some kids who don’t have a safe home and a place to sleep, especially in war. I wish every child has a loving and caring home where they can feel safe, protected and truly loved.
