WHAT IS HOME?

What is home? To a lot of people, home is just a place people go at the end of the day and that's it. But it's not the word itself that carries the meaning of home. To me, home is a place where people feel welcome and wish to be there when things get hard. But home can also be with a person. I believe that home isn't home without somebody there, waiting for you at the end of the day. Home is a place where people feel welcome, wanted, and allowed to be themselves. Home is my safe place, because it's not home without family or friends. Without them, it's just a place you go every day. It's not the building or place that makes it home; it's the memories and people that make it special. Home isn’t always where you live; it's the place you think of when you're told to think of your happy place. My home is where I feel the most loved. To me, that is my house. Being at home isn’t always in the physical sense. It is also a state of mind. The final piece of the puzzle. That is what I think the definition of home is.
