My Special Place

Home, it’s just a 4-letter word, but home has a deep, rooted meaning. Home isn’t just four walls that you live in; home isn’t a physical place. It's actually a feeling that everyone should have, that wonderful feeling. Home is where you create all those sweet memories. Home is where you can express yourself and your emotions will not be judged. Home is a place where it doesn’t matter where it is; it matters who is with you there. Traditions are learned at home. Home is like a wonderland where almost anything is possible. I actually have many homes all around the world. My native home was in India, but in just 9 months, I moved to America. I was in America for 4 years, and then I came to Canada. I sometimes wondered which place is my real home. After some time, I started to understand that the people who were there make my home, not just the 4 walls. Home is that place that has love and peaceful times, but home can also be like a tornado in those crazy mornings. Home is the place that introduces you to the world. Home is the place where you feel the most important because of your loved ones. For me, home is those special nights with just my parents and I. Those nights, we might be watching a horror movie, and I am holding my dad's hand tightly. It also has that feeling that all the mistakes you make, you can just learn from them. Home is where all life lessons will be first taught. Thanks to Habitat for Humanity, people who don’t have their own homes get them. Habitat for Humanity helps people in need get their own special place to call home.
