The Meaning of Home

A house is just a building; when you decorate it and make your own memories, it becomes a home. Sometimes, when you’re sad you lie down on your bed and cuddle with your pillow. A home is where you’re loved by family and friends. A home feels like a big warm hug from your parents. A cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter day. I smell the marshmallows roasting over the fire. The fire crackling while I see my parents laughing. It’s where you feel safe and secure. Also, it’s where you make memories with your friends and family. I wish that everyone could have a house to call home or somewhere they could be safe and loved. This is what home means to me.
