Meaning of Home

To me home is more than a house. Home is a place that holds my heart. When I walk through my front door, I feel safe and calm. Home is where my family supports me, listens to me, and loves me no matter what kind of day I’ve had. Home is where I feel protected, especially during the cold winters in Hamilton. It is where I sleep peacefully at night and wake up feeling thankful. At home, I can learn, grow, and imagine my future. It is a place filled with kindness, laughter, and comfort. I know that not everyone has a safe place to live, and that makes me feel compassion for others. Everyone deserves a home where they feel secure and valued. Habitat for Humanity helps families build more than houses; they help build hope. When people have a home, they have a stronger chance to succeed and feel proud. Home is one of the most important things in my life. I hope that one day, every person in Hamilton can have a place where they feel safe, loved, and truly at home.
