More Than Bricks: The Heart of a Home

A house in a visual perspective looks like bricks, cement, and furniture, but did you know a home has deeper meanings than a house? A home has trust, care, and most importantly, love. Without love to light up our homes, we feel empty, miserable and alone. A home keeps us safe all day and all night, like our loved ones protecting us. In each corner of a home there echoes cheer and unique emotions. On the wall, special frames hang that hold memories of extraordinary moments. In my living room I see plants thriving with the happiness and laughter we bring each time we enter. In the kitchen I smell tasty, magical dishes my mom makes for us, each one telling a different story. Everyday I come back home with emotions that make me feel happy or upset, but my home lets me be myself and helps me heal. Whenever I see something that makes me feel uncomfortable or upset my home makes sure I feel confident and happy. Whenever I pray for my Gods and Goddesses, I always remember that I am grateful for a home and a family because some people don’t have anyone to take care of them and they don’t have a home either. A home is priceless because a home is made with love and family. Home isn’t a privilege, home is a need for everyone. A home is a home no matter if it is small, short, big or tall because all homes are unique not because of their appearance, but because of the world inside of it. Even if many years pass by, our homes will stay the same because home isn’t just all these building materials; a home is most importantly with your loved ones and family.
